wani is MARRIED! i am so happy. bulat, you are a very lucky lucky man. i wish you both a charming life. i planned to take leave a day before the akad, but unfortunately i have some unemitable work commitments. sigh* but i did manage to spend a couple of late nights before the nikah at wani's place to help around. although my contribution was not a plenty, but she's happy(i hope). i helped her decorated the room, ironing and err... emotional support. the akad was on saturday morning. on thursday night we helped her tying ribbons to the cupcakes box for favours on the reception night. friday night was more on the emotional contribution. i came around 9 and she was restless! she was worrying on how the pelamin gona look like. 'is it too gold?'. we had to convince her that it is gona be fine and she should get her beauty sleep already!
that fine saturday morning. birds are chirping, sky as blue as ever... cewaah.. all dressed in baju kurung, me and sara came at 9. she was doing her make up. wani, you look so pretty! so it all went well. bulat sekali lafaz sahaja during the nikah. it was an emotional moment..
reception was at night. me, sara and fahmi had to bring the boxes of cupcakes to the hall. whilst waiting for the table to be set(before arranging the cupcakes), we went to a&w for a quick bite. it was raining quite heavy and sara forgot to switch off the car's headlights. so the battery went kaput. luckily shahril was at home so he came to the rescue! went to the hall but by then they had already finished arranging the favours. so we dropped by at hilton to check on the bride then went home to get dressed up again.
reached the hall at 8.15. the reception was smooth. food was great, the event wasn't draggy. although i am not too happy with the emcee. he mentioned wani's name wrong! and he kept updating the football match score. and he has this funny, annoying laugh. but despite that, it was all great. snapped some pictures ( a lot actually) and then lepak for a while at a&w again. went home and sleep till noon the next day...
after hours and days and weeks and months of mummy nagging, finally i managed to clear some stuffs up in my room. the bad thing is i cant remember where i put some of my stuffs!! last night i was going crazy searching for my 'business journal'. later i found it scatteredly organized on my new hanging shelf. yes i admit my room used to be a clutter, its such a small room and i have oh-too-many stuffs!! but that never stops me from collecting pictures of gorgeous rooms that inspires. so one fine day when my new off-white chicken-net wardrobe arrives, thats when my room change its look. eventhough my room is not as gorgeous as these pictures, i still love it verry very much. anyway, here are some pictures of rooms that i adore. note : i love the wonderful mixture of colours, the purposely unorganized look, the texture of the materials used and the usage of the eclectic furnitures. one day, when i move into my own one-and-a-half storey house, i WILL have all this. INSYAALLAH...

june08 would be a beautiful month. why? it's a month of celebration of love.. june08 is the new valentine! for me personally at least. i have 4 wedding invitations in june. which means all my weekends are booked. first, afiq, a son of a family friend, is getting married on 7th june. reception is on the 14th at concorde hotel, shah alam. for his solemnization, i have been given the honour to do his hantaran. hantaran is a malay tradition of exchanging presents. i will post detail on the hantaran later. also on the 14th is my dear colleague, hanim's wedding in kuantan. her reception is on the 21st at kg pengantin ampang. but unfortunately i cant make it cos my bestfriend's reception is on the same day! my bestfriend wani is getting married.....!! i still cannot believe it. we are such grown ups!! her solemnization would be held at her house and reception in civic hall, pj. last but not least, on the 29th another colleague of mine, didie, is holding her reception at dewan perdana felda, kl.
so for all you bride and groom-to-be, i wish u guys all the best and happiness. may the passion never fades...
i love weddings. i love to do wedding hantaran, wedding favours, wedding cards and wedding decor that are unique, simple and nice. and cost-effective. for starters, here are some colour samples that i love. and it is different from those u normally see at a typical malay wedding. so... go get inspired!
i have a confession. i looooooooovvvvvvvveeee shoes! i adore those chunky heels but unfortunately my feet doesn't agree. i wish they would. but then i would have to get another shoe rack to store my heels.. sigh! so my daily shoes are flats - ballerina flats, sandals, sneakers and flip flops. shoes should be a girl's best friend, not diamonds. cmon, they take you evrywhere. they are colourful, cute and the best thing is a shoe doesn't make u look fat! right now for the record i have 14 ballerina flats, 3 sandals(hrrrmmm i wonder where's my turqoise shell sandals?), 4 sneakers and 7 flipflops. i'm a us6 or eur37 :)
